Our Staff

Kristin Ferebee holds a PhD in English and an MFA in Creative Writing from The Ohio State University. She has worked as an English instructor and researcher at Texas Christian University, Ghent University, the University of Helsinki, and the American University of Afghanistan, where she taught English from 2019 through 2020. Her work in Afghanistan led her to become involved in aid and education initiatives for Afghan students, including the Afghan Law and Political Science Association, where she serves as a faculty advisor for the Local Voices team.

She began volunteering with AESOP as an Advanced English teacher in Fall 2025 and joined the administrative team as program director in Summer 2026. She works on curriculum development and teacher support and training.

She is currently pursuing an MA in TESOL from the University of Texas at Arlington.
